Thanks for stopping by my site!  I hope you find something here that will help you make some important decisions in your life.

“Hate” is a strong word but a lot of us feel this way about our jobs.  Sometimes it’s a reflection of the job itself and sometimes it’s a reflection of our life in general (but it’s easiest to blame it on the job).  I find myself, at mid-life, wishing I had known more about dealing with so-called “authority” figures in my life at an earlier age.  I guess it’s part of growing up to learn as we go but it sure would have saved a lot of heartache and stress to find out some things a little earlier.  My intention with this site is to help those of you who are looking for answers to find them faster than I did.  Life is meant to be a pleasant experience; sometimes we forget that.

Here are a few things you might like to know about me and my site:

1. Don’t bother with filthy language in your comments please.  You’ll save me the trouble of having to eliminate them.  I’m not saying I’ve NEVER dropped the F-bomb, but this isn’t the time OR the place for it.

2. I’m pretty straight-forward in my conversations.  Life is too short for me to worry endlessly about your feelings.  You came here for a reason, I’m trying to help.  Whine ONCE if you must, then move on and get down to fixing the problem.  (I say this with the UTMOST affection!)

3. Yes, if you come across anything for sale here, I am probably (hopefully) making a commission on it.  We’re all entitled to compensation for our efforts.  I don’t expect much because there are VERY few internet based programs out there that I’ve found to be legitimate and useful.  I won’t endorse something I haven’t tried or something that hasn’t been beneficial to me.  I’ve wasted quite a bit of money over the years on on-line scams and I absolutely WILL NOT lower myself to participating in that sort of thing.

4.  The door is always open to come or go at will.  I can’t be held responsible for any choices you do or do NOT make  based on anything you read on my web site.  (full disclaimer to follow)  I DO want to say, though, that if you’re the type of person that would try to blame something in your life on information you read on a web site, I probably can’t help you.  There are trained therapists for that, I’m NOT one.

5.  I can offer you information on the growth and maturity I’ve gained over many years of switching jobs because I can’t seem to lower myself to the lack of ethical standards of most co-workers and supervisors/bosses that I’ve come in contact with.  I DO have to say that after numerous attempts to PROVE that somewhere in the world there are groups of people that have high ethical and moral standards in the work environment, I finally DID find them.  What a joy to work in that type of environment!

6.  We spend at least 1/3 of our day working a 9-5 job.  I would say that it is one of the most important things you’ll accomplish in your life when you find the type of work and work environment that fulfills you and makes you happy.  It can be done, I’ve proven it!  But it was a long, stressful road to get there.  I hope you get there faster than I did and I would be honored if I helped you even the tiniest bit along the way.
